Samsung has just released its REX series in India. Samsung REX series will be a good competitor to Nokia’s Asha series. There are four phones launched in the series- REX60, REX 70, REX 80 and REX 90.
These phones are budget phones and the price varies from INR 4280 to INR 6490.
Samsung states that these are Smart features phones. These phones are developed in India and it would be launched in several growing markets globally starting from India. These phones have TouchWiz interface with 8 homescreens Bluetooth and and some of these also have WiFi support.
The REX 60 features a 2.8-inch QVGA resistive display, smart Dual-SIM feature that we saw in the Galaxy Grand, a 1.3-megapixel camera and boasts 15 hours of talk time. Like Nokia’s Swipe UI, Samsung is using its TouchWiz UI and comes with Facebook and Twitter integration.
The REX 70 has a 3-inch capacitive QVGA display, smart Dual-SIM and a 2-megapixel camera. Samsung claims 13 hours of talktime. The rest of the features are the same as the REX 60.
The REX 80 also has a 3-inch capacitive QVGA display, smart Dual-SIM, 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and 14.7 hours of talktime.
The REX 90 sports a 3.5-inch capacitive HVGA display, smart Dual-SIM with true hot swap, Wi-Fi, 3.2-megapixel camera and 15 hours of talk time.
