JellyBean update for Samsung Galaxy Note

In some markets, Samsung has already started updating many of its Ice Cream Sandwich (or Gingerbread) devices to Android Jelly Bean (including the Galaxy S II, or the Galaxy S Advance i9070). But some smartphones – like the original Galaxy Note GT-N7000, and the Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 – have yet to get a taste of JellyBean.

Fortunately, Samsung Ukraine has shed some light on when we can expect Jelly Bean updates for both the Note N7000 and the Galaxy Ace 2.

So, the original Note should receive Android Jelly Bean starting the very first day of March. As for the Ace 2, this will make the jump from IceCream Sandwich to JellyBean in late April.

Keep in mind that these are estimated delivery dates, and they may not be accurate for users outside Ukraine. For example, in the UK the original Galaxy Note might be updated sooner – since its official support page is listing a User Manual with Jelly Bean. In any case, it’s good to see Samsung officially re-confirming that updates are coming soon. We will let you know when they’re actually ready to be rolled-out.

A few weeks ago, there was a report saying the Note N7000 already got its Jelly Bean update in Poland – but it tuner out it was a false alarm.
